Private Investigator, Gabriel Silver is healing from a deadly loss, burying himself in work and avoiding relationships of any kind. When he agrees to help a friend who’s tangled up with drug dealers he has no idea the job will change his life. Samantha Connor is recovering from a terrible relationship. She’s on the prowl for a hot hook-up, with no strings attached. When she meets Gabriel, she thinks she’s found the perfect man to fulfill her deepest yearnings. But Gabriel turns out to be more than meets the eye.

Soon, she’s knee-deep in his latest case and on the run with Gabriel and her sexy friend Kendra. As they plot to trap the drug dealers, Samantha and Gabriel begin a thrilling game of cat and mouse. With growing feelings, danger at every turn and seduction on the table, anything can happen. When Samantha tries to help her friend and her sexy new guy, she finds herself in too deep. Can two star-crossed lovers untangle from their shattered pasts long enough to find true love, or is Gabriel Silver about to find out that history repeats itself, and lose everything he ever cared about?

This is a fun romantic suspense with many steamy sex scenes. The chemistry between the characters sizzle throughout this book.

Samantha’s friend Kendra is opening a new nightclub called the Kissed Club and Sam stops by to give support and enjoy the view of hot men that are here. Sam recently broke up with her boyfriend who never wanted to take their sex to the next level, which was to satisfy her, only thinking of himself, so she is interested in exploring new frontiers. Kendra has always loved to experiment and seems interested in helping Sam learn something new.

Gabriel Silver is a private investigator who is helping out as a bartender at Kendra’s club. His cousin Tristan is worried about Kendra and since Gabe and Tristan are silent partners in the club as well as partners in Cross Investigations he is willing to help keep her safe.

Gabe and Sam are intrigued with each other as soon as they meet, yet work gets in the way that first evening. Kendra is only too happy to divert Sam’s attention and they end up in her upstairs apartment to explore each other and share some very hot scenes together. Gabe is interested in pursuing something with Sam yet they both have things in their past that prevent them from getting close, so they keep a “no strings attached” attitude until their feelings get involved.

Something is going on at the club and Gabe and Tristan think Kendra is in over her head, they both think the mob may be involved so with Sam’s help they get Kendra away from the madness to sort it all out. Things become risky when the mob follows them to New Zealand and Kendra tries to manipulate events which put everyone in danger.

I really enjoyed this book, the plot is interesting and fast paced as they try to find out what is going on with Kendra and her club. There is humor laced throughout the story and I like how Gabe and Sam interact. The texts back and forth in the beginning between Gabe and Sam were flirty and add a bit of fun to their conversations. They have great chemistry between them and prove it as they could not keep their hands off each other when they are together.

Kendra and Sam also have some smoking chemistry together, although I was tired of Sam always getting hot and bothered by Kendra when she was around; even Gabe was telling Sam that she was his alone and he would not share with anyone after they made more of a commitment to each other. I really like Gabe; he is strong, sexy and protective of both Sam and Kendra. Sam is likable but she is a bit naïve which gets her in trouble and when Gabe saves her she could not stop apologizing to him, enough already. Another thing that was a bit overdone was that everyone loved her mouth; it was so sexy and appealing that even Tristan commented on it, ugh.

An interesting point to be aware of is that Sam’s POV is in first person and then switches to third person for Gabe, something I had to get use to as I was reading. This is an intriguing tale with suspense, sex and more sex, that starts off fast and does not let up, even leaving us with an ending that makes you want to read the next book.

I give Dazzled by Silver by Lacey Silks 3.5 stars!
