The gentlemen from Beautiful Bastard, Beautiful Stranger, and Beautiful Player are out for a wild night on The Strip.
When Max, Henry, and Will steal Bennett away for a weekend of shenanigans and strippers in Vegas, the first stop of the night doesn’t go at all as planned. With their scheme for a Guys Weekend completely derailed anyway, Max and Bennett begin to play a wild game of stealth and secrecy in order to have their bombshells all over Sin City.
Beautiful Bombshell is a short novella that takes place between Beautiful Stranger and Beautiful Player. It’s a small window into Bennett’s bachelor party which is being held in Las Vegas over a long weekend. However, Chloe has plans of her own, along with her friend Sara, and crashes their first night of boy time. What follows is a night long escapade that has Ben and Max panting after their ladies in a shameless attempt to get some action.
I thought Beautiful Bombshell was well wrote, all remnants of its FanFiction days long gone. In no way does it read even remotely like some of those books. The characters have taken on a life of their own and shed their humble beginnings. Bennett and Chloe work so well together…each pushing the other to get a reaction to ignite their passion. I love how with each book Bennett seems to get more human. In the first book he was such a condescending asshole that I wasn’t sure if I could warm up to him. The depth of his emotion concerning Chloe grows with his interaction and I’m really starting to understand him better.
I haven’t read book two (Beautiful Stranger), though it is on my shelf. I didn’t have any trouble with the parts of the book centering on Max and Sara and if anything, it just made me want to read their back story more. Their coupling involves a bit more BDSM/voyeurism than Ben and Chloe. Which makes them unique to the story line.
Will is the wild card in this series. He’s a playboy. An iron clad bachelor who has no intention of settling down with any woman when he has a bevy of ladies available to him with only a simple phone call. He shows that he has a sense of humor in his role within the novella and I look forward to meeting the woman who will finally make him change his ways.
With each book I read I like this series just a bit more and I am eagerly anticipating the release of Beautiful Player! I’m really liking these short novellas in between full length books. Beware though that at only roughly 120 pages this is probably at least half sex. I do not recommend reading this one until you at least read book one and understand where these characters have come from and the odds they have overcome to achieve happiness.
I give Beautiful Bombshell by Christina Lauren 3.75 stars!
