He is everything I crave, all I desperately want—and he is everything I can’t have.
Evan Black embodies my every fantasy. He is brilliant, fierce, and devastatingly handsome. But he is also headstrong, dangerous, and burdened with secrets.
My family warned me to stay away, that I could never handle Evan’s dark dealings or scarred past. Maybe I should have listened. Maybe I should have run. But our desire is undeniable, and some temptations you just can’t fight.
And from the moment we touch—the passion between us consuming us both—I know that I will never be the same.

Wanted is book one is J. Kenner’s new erotic romance series, Most Wanted and is the first book I’ve read from this author as well. Boasting cover quotes that claim that lovers of the Fifty Shades trilogy and the Crossfire trilogy will undoubtedly gobble this one up, certainly sparked my interest. What I found was an incredibly hot, contemporary erotic romance that was well wrote, all consuming and a fun ride from beginning to end.

Years of guilt have kept Angie in a cage of her own making. The murder of her sister still sits heavily on her shoulders even years later and she’s come to rely on control to keep herself in check. The person looking back at her in the mirror isn’t who she truly is, and that woman locked deep inside craves release. Impulse. Action. The one person she deeply wants to let go with is Evan Black, and now that her uncle has passed she thinks she might actually have a chance at cracking his facade. Bound by loyalty Evan has never rescinded on his oath to watch over Angie, but to keep his hands off her at all costs. His secretiveness lures Angie like none other and even as he fights it he knows he can never win. She’s slowly stripping away his barriers just as surely as he is hers.

From the very first paragraph I fell in love the Kenner’s writing style. She draws you in and makes you feel as if you’re in the room with the characters. Even when wrote in first person, which can sometimes cause me issues, I felt like *I* was Angie. That Evan Black had his sights set on me…and honestly, it was simply awesome.

Angie finds that she craves a thrill and in the past when she’s finally broken past her control barriers she’s resorted to stealing in order to quiet that part of her. When her sister was murdered she quietly turned herself into the picture perfect daughter instead of the rebel and in the process lost a bit of herself. Stealing afforded the luxury of feeding that thrill seeker part of herself though indulging was risky. Now that her beloved uncle had passed Angie has felt herself regressing and needing that thrill once again. But with a political father, getting caught in a press firestorm is the last thing she wants to bring down on her family. So she continually represses her emotions in order to remain the perfect daughter image she saddled herself with years before.

Being around her uncless surrogate sons Evan, Cole and Tyler bring her a sense of peace but only one of them calls to the part of her she rarely shows anyone. Evan is enigmatic, loyal, dangerous and over the top sexy. She wants desperately to see her lust reflected in his eyes and when it finally happens, she thinks it’s to good to be true. I have to give credit where credit is due, Evan struggles to come to terms with what he sees as a betrayal of his loyalty to Angie’s uncle. The push of pull of Angie and Evan is combustible, the heat comes off these two in huge waves.

Past these two, Kenner takes the time to introduce both Cole and Tyler and make me crave their upcoming stories. I’m not sure what to think of these two because while Evan is attempting to clean himself up and have no secrets in his business practices, these two seem to be embracing their shadowy lifestyles with ease. I admit, I can’t wait to see each of them fall to their knees because of a special woman. I’m also curious who these women will be. Because to get these boys to turn themselves around…it’s going to take someone extra special.

The only thing I disliked about this book was how eerily familiar it seemed. The three playboys. The drive to do whatever it takes to get what they want. The elite sex club they own….however, Kenner does a great job distancing herself with the great story at its heart and the wildly erotic sexy times. I look forward to continuing this trilogy this year!

I give Wanted by J. Kenner 4 stars!
