Everyone fears the Master…

Rich, irresistible politician/Mafiya boss Maksimilian Sevastyan prefers tall, obedient blondes to fulfill his…complicated desires. That is, until the icy Russian encounters a disobedient brunette whose exquisite little body threatens his legendary restraint.

Except her.

Catarina Marín was a well-off young wife until her world fell apart. Now she’s hiding out, forced to start working as an escort in Miami. Her very first client is beyond gorgeous, but when he tells her what he plans to do to her, Cat almost walks out of the door.

If pleasure is a game, play to win.

After their mind-blowing encounter burns out of control, the lovers crave more. If they escape the deadly threats surrounding them, can Maksim overcome his past—to offer Cat his future? Only then will she tempt him with what he really wants: her, all tied up with a bow.

This book was simply made of WOW! I loved everything about it and though Kresley Cole is a well known name in the romance industry this is definitely in the running for her best yet!

Cat is a strong Latin woman who has been forced into a corner in order to secure her future on the run from a vicious ex. Though she has morals and standards she’s not sure what to do when the opportunity to “visit” the notorious bachelor Maksim presents itself. She’s a maid not a hooker but the money he offers means she could outrun her past once more and she’s not sure she can turn that down. When she meets Maksim in the flesh she knows she can’t tell him no. The sparks between them are undeniable, even if Maksim’s sexual tastes deviate from her own.

When Maksim finds the exact opposite of the type of woman he ordered standing on his doorstep he nearly turns her away. Something about the sultry Latin woman calls to him though and he offers her a chance to prove her worth. Surprisingly Maksim finds that although Cat doesn’t seem to care if she sees him again or not, he craves her like nothing he’s ever wanted before.

I found Maksim to be a great hero with a lot of redeeming qualities even when he didn’t think they were there. He’s used to getting his own way so it was adorable to see Cat put him in his place time and again. She was so funny with her smart ass attitude! Maksim prides himself on control but with Cat he finds that in short supply. Add in his sexy Russian accent and you’ve got this reader panting through the chapters.

Past characters from book one make appearances but what I’m really looking forward to is the 3rd book which will feature a brother who everyone seems to think is un-saveable. Those are my favorite types of heroes and with Cole behind the reins I have no doubt that it will be one for my keeper shelf!

I give The Master by Kresley Cole 5 stars!
