Being the younger sister of a Wind Dragons MC member isn’t as great as you’d think it would be.
I can’t escape the details of my brother’s exploits.
No one tells me anything.
Men who know who I am tend to stay away from me.
And worst of all:
The members of the MC are off-limits.
When Arrow catches my eye, I make it my mission to make him happy again.
When I fall head over heels in love with him, I just hope he will be there to catch me.
And that my brother doesn’t kill him.
Another amazing book from Chantal Fernando! These books are motorcycle club crack and seriously addicting! After finishing book one, Dragon’s Lair, I immediately started book two, not wanting to step away from this amazing world Fernando had built. This basically picks up a while after that one ends, with Arrow in jail. In Arrow’s Hell, he is once again a free man but definitely a changed one. Unable to forgive himself for something he couldn’t have known would happen, he lives in a half state, simply moving through the motions. When he sees the sister of one of his MC brothers, he’s immediately drawn to her but knows he can never have her.
Anna just wants to finish college, continue to make a better relationship with her overbearing brother and hey, get into the pants of one very fine MC member named Arrow. She tries to interact with Arrow all the time, but he brushes her off every time. He’s a total ass yet she keeps trying until she finally starts to crack him wide open. It’s obvious the past has shaped him into who he is today and as she finds out more she’s not sure she can every compete with it/her. He’s an emotionally scarred individual and he has huge problems saying what he means when it comes to words and not physical fights.
While I ADORE the men in this series…I think the highlight of these books are the women. They are strong, intelligent, driven women who are not afraid to put the big, bad, motorcycle men in their places. The relationships they cultivate within this inner circle are meaningful yet realistic. These friendships come to mean a lot to the other women, the long term women, and they take on a tribe mentality to take care of their own.
While a lot of the book is serious and can delve into some gray areas with Arrow’s ability to overcome his past and move forward with Anna, their constant bickering left me chuckling constantly. I also loved how the author managed to weave in a secondary story line for Anna and her brother Rake involving a rival MC who played a part in book one and Arrow’s downfall.
Arrow’s Hell is a excellent book filled with angst, smoldering sex and a cast of characters sure to fulfill any romance readers expectations!
I give Arrow’s Hell by Chantal Fernando 5 stars!
