Some secrets should only be shared in the dark.
Jonah and Vivienne’s erotic bond—living out raw scenarios of captivity and force—began as no-strings sex between strangers who shared the same desires. Now the intimacy between them is turning into love, but it’s a love built on fantasies so extreme that exploring them makes guilt inescapable. But the risks they’re taking are far more dangerous than they’d imagined.
A stalker is terrorizing the city, and one of Jonah’s ex-lovers names him as a potential suspect to the police. Standing by a man under suspicion could cost Vivienne everything. But when Jonah’s stepfather takes advantage of the scandal to seize control of the Marks family fortune, Vivienne is drawn into her lover’s broken family and twisted past. Only then will she learn how dark the truth really is..
The conclusion of the explosive debut from Lilah Pace has finally arrived! Begging For It brings readers back to Vivienne and Jonah as they struggle to master their demons and desires in this erotic romance that will both fascinate and decimate readers everywhere.
At the end of book one Jonah had walked away from Vivienne when the root of her desires became apparent in the worst way. Jonah’s own demons may have reveled in Vivienne’s tortured past, but his conscience couldn’t take it. Whereas Asking For It focused on their dark desires, Begging For It gave more insight into their pasts and the families who made them the people they are today.
These two are hot personified and the sexual escapades they participate in skirt the gray areas of consent on a nightly basis. There are few lines that do not get crossed, yet it was one of the hottest and most compelling books I’ve read in quite a while. The obsessive weaving of Jonah and Vivienne’s fantasies coupled with the safety nets they provide each other just made for fantastic reading. While it was over the top sexy, I admired the amount of trust these two had in each other. I liked how even in the most convoluted scene, Jonah made sure Vivienne felt completely safe.
While you may find a background like Vivienne’s more often than you’d like, Jonah’s background made me damn uncomfortable. I found the reasoning behind his twisted obsessions just…for lack of a better word…icked me out. The thought of anyone having to be made party to what he was, let alone share it with other siblings, was just awful. It was tragic, horrific, and honestly superb writing.
In addition to the sexy times, the array of supporting characters were well wrote, well rounded, and inviting. Everyone has friends like Vivienne, and the situations they each found themselves in felt completely realistic and lent to the progression of the story line very well. Not once did I find myself bored with this one.
Lilah Pace is destined to be a household name. Begging For It is a stunning work of art that implores you to pick it up. It’s tragic characters will mesmerize and inflame readers everywhere! Better yet, the happily ever after Lilah Pace provides this wonderfully bent couple made my heart sigh in contentment.
I give Begging For It by Lilah Pace 5 stars!
