Type: Erotic Romance

Kate’s fantasies have always featured sexy, dominant, crop-wielding men, but finding one in real life was easier said than done. She’s used to getting what she wants, but the creeps that keep flirting with her aren’t her kink.
Enter Banner. His intensity scares her—he’s looking for a slave, and Kate doesn’t want to be one. But when he offers to help find the perfect Dom for her, she’s glad to have a matchmaker and protector.
Banner knows he and Kate aren’t sexually compatible, so what better way to get the tasty almost-vanilla girl out of his head than finding her a good Dom? As it becomes clear that Kate has no clue what she wants when it comes to kink, he devises a series of experiments to help her figure things out—a perfect plan, if he could stop himself from training and bedding her. Obsessing about owning a girl who wants to be free isn’t healthy. But when Banner finds the right Dom to collar Kate, how will he hand over the leash?
Kate is looking for a Dom. One who’ll let her be herself while indulging all her naughty sexual fantasies. When she meets Banner she’s intrigued by just the very thought of him, but he’s looking for something she can’t give him. A slave. He does agree to mentor her and help her navigate the waters as she searches for the perfect Dom. Along the way their mentee/mentor relationship evolves into something much deeper and Banner has to decide if he’s willing to change what he’s always thought he wanted for the one woman who tests everything he’s ever asked her to do.
Finding Master Right had all the components to be an exceptional erotic romance and it did have some incredibly hot and inventive sex scenes but the relationship between Kate and Banner wasn’t anything like I wanted it to be. Banner on his own was ok. He was a hot, commanding Dominant who was willing to introduce Kate into the world and find her the Dom she was meant to be with. Going into it you know they are going to end up together, I mean…duh…but it’s how they get there that is the story, the reason I pick something up. But when I find the heroine to be the most annoying person EVER, it makes it hard to enjoy the premise, hot sex scenes aside.
Kate has no idea what she wants. Oh sure, she’s ok with a flogger here and there, maybe some handcuffs, but she’s entered into a world she’s totally naive about. She doesn’t have a submissive bone in her body and she spends an inordinate amount of time fighting her own personality and trying to figure out what exactly it is she wants. She wants Banner. Great. Except he’s looking for someone who will submit to him all the time and she doesn’t want that. So she pesters, annoys and outright defies him at every turn as he’s trying to help her. Everything about her just kinda pissed me off. Either submit or don’t, but lets not string the guy along constantly. Figure ya shit out yo.
Because of my disconnect with Kate I just never got on board with the relationship between her and Banner. I could see where the author was trying to make their attachment more emotional but it just didn’t cut it for me. Even at the end I was just meh about everything.
