You know me.
Come on, you know you do.
Maybe you pretend you don’t. Maybe you clear your browser history religiously. Maybe you pretend to be aghast whenever someone even mentions the word porn in your presence.
But the truth is that you do know me.
Everybody knows Logan O’Toole, world famous porn star.
Except then Devi Dare pops into my world, and pretty soon I’m doing things that aren’t like me—like texting her with flirty banter and creating an entire web porn series just so I can get to star in her bed. Again. And again.
With Devi, my entire universe shifts, and the more time I spend with her, the more I realize that Logan O’Toole isn’t the guy I thought he was.
So maybe I’m not the guy you thought I was either.
This book was so different in so many ways and not just because it’s about a porn star and the world they live in, but, because the hero and heroine were so brutally honest and raw, you could not help but really feel a part of their world. The chemistry between them was off the charts and their banter had me laughing out loud and loving every minute of it.
In Porn Star, we meet Logan O’Toole, the current heart throb of the porn world. Not only easy on the eyes, but great to work with and charming as they come. The stuff late night dreams and desires are made off. Making porn has been his life for the last ten years and in his own words, what is not to love about his job? Especially now that Logan is calling all the shots as producer, director and star of all his work.
Though he may have every man’s dream job, it does not mean he has the perfect life. After having his life disrupted by circumstances out of his control, he finds himself spiraling into the unknown. Then faced with a choice, he decides to take a chance and see where it takes him.
Come in Devi Dare, what night dreams and desires are made off for Logan O’Toole. Devi is young, fresh and ready to take a chance in the world of porn that she had not taken before. A face from Logan’s past that has haunted his nights, but seemed so distant for so long and is now right in front of him.
“Come on, Devi Dare,” he says, and it’s like he’s purring. “Make porn with me.”
Logan finds himself wanting to spend more and more time with Devi, and not just for work, but for “real”. But what does that mean? Can two porn stars make a relationship work? What boundaries can you set and how do you keep love and sex separate? When it comes right down to it, when you love, truly, really love, do you really want to share?
“What if I can’t handle this? What if I’m not capable of being in love with a porn star?”
What added so much to this story was being able to see it from both points of view, as it switched back and forth between Logan and Devi. I loved these characters and how they interacted with each other.
They were fun to watch get to know each other, spend time together and well, work together. They made the book so much fun to read.
It was so nice to read about a male hero who was not perfect and had his own doubts and faults. He came off as very confident and cocky and knew he was damn good at his job, but when it came to his own personal feelings, he was not so perfect. This in turn made him perfect for the reader. We, as readers, were able to get into his head and feelings and for me, this makes a story more personal and easy to get lost in.
I also loved Devi. She was young, but she too was confident, strong and not ashamed of what she was doing with her life. What she did was her choice and she lived life as she wanted too and everybody else be damned. That is until feelings were involved.
How do two people who share their bodies so freely come and enjoy the work they do build a relationship together? It is so worth the read to find out. This story is filled with so much emotion but so fun to read at the same time. Laurelin and Sierra did a great job working together to build this story and the writing is so seamless, you have no idea two amazing authors wrote this. Once you pick this up, it is very hard to put down again.
I give Porn Star by Laurelin Paige and Sierra Simone 5 stars!
