I’m your classic skirt chaser. A womanizer. A total d*ck. My reputation is dirtier than a New Orleans street after a Mardi Gras parade. I take unwinnable cases and win them. Where people see defeat, I see a big fat paycheck. And when most men see rejection, it’s because the sexiest woman at the bar has already promised to go home with me.
But Scarlett Carmichael is the one person I can’t seem to conquer. This too-cool former debutante has it all—class, attitude, and a body that begs to be worshipped. I’ve never worked with a person like her before—hell, I’ve never played nice with anyone before in my life, and I’m not about to start with her. This woman wasn’t meant to be played nicely with. It’s going to be dirty. It’s going to be hot. She’s about to spend a lot of time with the biggest d*ck in town. And she’s going to love every minute of it…
Loved. Loved loved loved loved! Total D*ck ensnared me on page one and I absolutely fell in love with Kennedy right along with Scarlett.
Kennedy has a reputation of being a skirt chaser. He knows it, hell everyone knows it. It’s never stopped him and he never feels bad. He lives life by his own rules, he has a lucrative career and he really wants for nothing. When he’s approached by a big law firm in town to second chair a case involving a high level cyber hacking, he’s at first dismissive. So dismissive he sends the beautiful woman who showed up to inquire about it, packing, but not before he insults her a bit too by assuming she’s a secretary instead of the brilliant lawyer she is.
Scarlett has had to deal with men like Kennedy for years. Especially since she’s the only female lawyer in her firm. She makes every attempt to hide her curves, conceal her beauty and be tough as nails to run with the big dogs. Though she despises Kennedy and his chauvinistic attitude, she soon finds there is more to him than what he shows the world. He’s relentless in his pursuit of her and her determination to stay away is quickly vanishing.
I adored Scarlett and her buttoned up, prim and proper, take no shit from any guy, ways. She knew what needed done and she wasn’t about to let Kennedy stand in her way or treat her like a secretary. Her debutante upbringing stopped her from being a bitch, but she had plenty of ways to make him fall in line where she needed him. As the case progressed and real danger became evident, Kennedy’s protective side roared to life in ways he didn’t understand at first. His need to bed her takes a backseat to his need to keep her safe. These two scorched the pages as Scarlett cut loose a little at Kennedy’s urging. The buttoned up ones always are the hot ones between the sheets and Scarlett certainly lived up to that saying.
This one had a more intellectual feel as opposed to books one and two. Dealing with a cyber breach of a major corporation meant a reformed hacker had to be brought in to the mix and there is a lot of conversation dealing with it, of course. I loved the different feel and thought the added characters only heightened the book and the danger they brought.
There is an epilogue that really features book one’s couple, Lincoln and Evan and it was so well done! I actually sighed with contentment and laughed at the end. It was simply perfect and fit their story so well. I’m sad to see this trilogy end but thankful I can revisit these spunky, take life by the horns characters anytime I want by re-reading…and that shit will definitely be happening!
Total D*ck gives you all the pounding pleasure and cheeky dialogue you can handle!
I give Total D*ck by Christina Saunders 4.50 stars!
