She wanted nothing to do with me. Well, that’s too f*cking bad.
My MC brothers call me Dare for a reason. I never back down from a challenge. And Lila was the sweetest challenge I ever faced.
From the moment she walked into my tattoo shop, she was going to end up in my bed. Tied up, moaning my name and begging for more.
Her past was a nightmare and I couldn’t guarantee her a future. But I could promise her a good time.
I didn’t know what we would turn into, let alone how hard it’d be to stay away after my selfish ass sent her packing.
Problem is, my girl is hot, so the same men I call brothers tried to claim her.
There’s not enough bourbon in the world to help me forget the love we shared. But to get her back, to prove she’s more to me than a quick lay, I’ll have to tell her the secret I’ve been hiding from everyone.
Before she’s gone forever.
Interesting enough, Enough is about not being enough. Got that?
Lila Braham has spent years living in one nightmare after the next. Always hurting or running. Repeatedly told she is not good enough, hurt and betrayed, she finally had enough. Running from her last relationship, licking her wounds, she decides to start over in a new place, Barden, which happens to be the home of the Jericho Brotherhood, the local MC.
Though uneasy about working for an MC, she needed the fresh start, so she is now managing the Marked Man, the tattoo shop run by the bikers. With her fresh start, she has also sworn off men. New beginnings and all. Then walks in her new boss, Dare. The attraction and chemistry is immediate and inescapable. But off limits.
Dare is all confidence, arrogance and take what I want attitude. He takes one look at Lila, Red as he quickly nicknames her, and decides she needs to be in his bed. And though she initially refuses him, he knows she will be there eventually. But Dare has his own secrets he is hiding. Secrets that he does not share, for fear of losing what he values most.
Lila tries to stay away from Dare. She knows he is the type of man she should avoid, but intrigued by his lifestyle, the MC and the guys she works with, she realizes this could be a new start for her. And when Dare tells her he is not a relationship type of guy, she realizes he may be just what she needs right now. They can satisfy their desires with no commitments, right?
So they begin to spend time together and she learns more about life for a woman in the MC. Beginning to make friends, settling in, and falling for Dare, she begins to hope. But life in the MC is not always an easy one. Is this what she truly wants? Need? Can she trust Dare and her heart with him? Or the people quickly becoming important to her?
Dare also starts to feel things he never felt before, but is so scared. Will she stick around once she learns his secret? Can they have a life together? Could someone finally love him. Truly love him?
Then one decision changes everything. Now Lila must make a decision that will cement her separation from Dare. What choice will she make?
I loved the MC story behind the love story. We get the full background of the MC, the dynamics and very good explanations of how woman fit in and what is expected. I love the characters and how they stood by each other and eventually Lila as well. You may not be family by blood, but they are family in all the ways that count.
Add in some sexy, hot, erotic scenes from Dare and Lila and you have one hot, cannot put down story. Though you can classify this as an MC book, it also includes some BDSM and erotic scenes. Lila and Dare are just hot together.
Because it all fit together for me, had me intrigued from the start and was hooked, this was a very enjoyable read for me. But again, I love MC books and find them to be a very guilty pleasure. I would recommend this book and will look forward to the next book.
Enough by Jade Chandler was a 4-star read for me!
