Ashes to ashes. Dust to dust. And all that fucking shit. I had killed. I had sacrificed. The innocent and the corrupt. I knew blood and I knew violence. Never imagining I could know love too. Mia Ryder was a woman to love. To cherish. To fucking claim. Now, forever, and every day in between. If there was anyone I’d go to Hell and back for, it was her. Even if it meant, going to war with… My fucking brother.
My heart! I was not sure I was going to make it! I absolutely loved Ends Here by M. Robinson. This is the conclusion to Creed and Mia’s story that started in Road To Nowhere. I loved, and at times hated this story, all at the same time! This book made me feel so much! The angst and emotions were all over the place! Bravo M Robinson. You retain the title Queen of Angst.
We pick up right where we left off in Road To Nowhere. Here is where it gets difficult, because this book should be read with no spoilers. The story is not an easy one. Creed and Mia face a very difficult and heartbreaking journey, but it is their journey to take. My heart continuously broke for them.
Add to the heartbreak, the action and drama surrounding all the characters. Where was the danger coming from? Who were they really after? Was Mia safe with Creed or better off staying away from him? So many questions and every time we thought we had something figured out, more questions emerged.
I have to admit I did not always like Mia in this book. But that was more for personal reasons. But I understood where she was coming from and what she was trying to do. She did not want to hurt and disappoint anyone, but the only person that really mattered was her and what she wanted. It took her a while for her to see that.
Creed really stood strong for me in this story. No matter his background, his love for Mia was strong and always there. He never gave up on her or them. Deep in his heart he knew they were meant to be together and regardless of anyone, including his own brother, he never gave up on keeping Mia safe. No matter the cost.
Noah played a much larger part in this book, which if you read the first book, is a given. But how much really surprised me. At times, I really hated him. I think I still do, but I do understand him.
At the end of the day, this story must be read with an open mind and heart. Creed, Mia and Noah had a very difficult journey. Each fought hard for what they wanted. But at the end, you knew one of them would be hurt and devastated, if not all of them.
M. Robinson continues to break me, as she does with every book she writes. The emotions I feel when I read her books nearly break my heart almost every time. But I always come back for her. M. is an amazing author that weaves stories that completely consumes her readers. She breaks them to put them back together. She is a must-read author for me. I cannot recommend both a Road To Nowhere and Ends here enough.
Ends Here by M. Robinson was a 5+ stars read for me!
