How Far Would You Go?
Hi, everyone! I’d like to thank Nikki for inviting me over to chat—I always love visiting!
Today, I want to know…if someone you loved was in danger, how far would you go to protect that person? What you do? Lie? Steal? Kill?
How far would you go? You see—this question inspired my recent romantic suspense release, DEADLY LIES. In this book, the hero’s step-brother is kidnapped, and in order to save him, the hero must put his very life on the life.
But this book isn’t just about what the hero has to sacrifice. My How Far Would You Go? theme also applies to my heroine, FBI Special Agent Samantha Kennedy. Sam has already been through hell once when a serial killer held her captive, and this time, well, she has to face the devil again if she is going to save the victim. Sometimes, there are no limits to what you would do in order to help someone else.
So…what would you do? Risk everything? Maybe. Probably. Definitely. If my child’s life was on the line, I know there would be no hesitation for me. But what if you were saving a stranger? Someone that you’d never met? Would you be so willing to risk it all then? FBI agents, cops, and firefighters risk their lives every day. Their sacrifice can know no limits, and I have only respect for them and for the jobs that they do.
Even as I must confess that I am far too much of a coward to ever do those jobs. Sure, I can write about fires and killers, but to actually get into that dangerous zone as part of my day-to-day routine? No, thank you! I’d rather save that excitement for the professionals!
Thanks for checking out my post! I will pick one commenter to win a DEADLY book of her choice (either DEADLY FEAR, DEADLY HEAT, or DEADLY LIES). Just tell me what you would do in order to protect someone you loved.

Hi everyone! Nikki here! I wanted to thank Cynthia for coming by today and talking with everyone! If you don’t know by now Cynthia is one of my most favoritest authors and I feel extremely fortunate to have gotten to know her a bit over the last 10 months.
If you haven’t had a chance to read her Deadly series, now is the time! I loved all three of these book (as I do everything Cynthia) and I really think you will as well!
