Final Cut

So, we’re at the end of the ACRO series, and since we get a lot of questions about how we write, we thought (okay, really, STEPHANIE thought — she made me say that,) that we should show you firsthand in a blog post, and we’ll pass this post back and forth, paragraph to paragraph, starting with me, Larissa (the sane half of the Sydney team.)

Larissa’s computer has this stupid thing on the keyboard that’s all ripped up and I don’t understand why she doesn’t replace it. Anyway, yeah, so we always write together but this time we’re writing together. Literally. Like, she’s sitting at my kitchen table and we’re eating hummus her husband made (really good) and she was like, oh, we have a blog post due. She also has a book due but honestly, she’s been here over twenty-four hours and hasn’t written a thing on her book.

Stephanie is lying. Well, maybe not lying, but she’s doing the “throw Larissa under the bus,” thing she does all the time. You should see what she did to me with her mother. So anyway, this is how we write together, except we pass the book back scene-to-scene instead of paragraph to paragraph. And if you’re wondering whether or not this is truly the last Sydney Croft story, well, I’ll let Steph answer that. It’s only fair, since I do the bulk of the work on the ACRO books.

It’s not the last Sydney Croft story.

It’s going to be the last Sydney Croft story because I hate Stephanie now.

Yeah, so this is pretty much our plotting process.

Stephanie is SO right. And I don’t say that often. So anyway, I hope you enjoy Taken By Fire. Which we passed back and forth, just like this. Except she was in New York and I was in Wisconsin. But basically, the process was the same. (And don’t worry, the book is better than this blog post.)

Thanks for having us, Nikki, and happy reading, everyone!!!!

A product of genetic manipulation, Melanie Milan shares a body with her malevolent sister Phoebe. A sleek, blonde predator with a heart of pure darkness, Phoebe puts their body through the wicked underbelly of sex for thrills—when she’s not igniting her pyrokinetic skills for an evil organization bent on taking over the world. Melanie rarely gets out to play—much less fall in love. But that changes when rival ARCO agent Stryker Wills shows up, with a mission to take out the woman who torched his partner.

An operative with rare abilities, Stryker soon realizes that the woman he’s about to kill isn’t the murderous fire starter he’s hunting. But he does want her. Melanie, with the power to ice anything in her path, is heating things up in ways that are setting his blood on fire. As long as Melanie stays in control, she is his best ally to bring down her sister and stop hellish havoc from being unleashed. Walking a tightrope of longing and hate, Stryker and Melanie begin to understand that true power lies in sweet surrender to each other, to the fire between them, to the erotic adventure that’s joined their hearts and abilities to become their salvation—and perhaps the world’s.

What is your favorite Sydney Croft, Larissa Ione or Stephanie Tyler book?”

  1. LOL I love this blog post, and thank you for letting us in on your writing process I wondered how it worked when more than one writer was involved.

  2. I absolutely love Eternal Rider by Larissa! It was actually the first book I read by her and I now have or have on order the whole Demonica series. Just as soon as I get the rest, I am locking myself away and reading the whole series in order. LOL I probably won’t be able to just lock myelf away but I will devour the whole series in order!

  3. There isn’t a bad Sydney Croft book but I’m in love with Ender so I really enjoyed Unleashing the Storm (ACRO, Book 2. I’m SO happy to hear this isn’t the end. These have quickly become my faves.
You can find me on FB.

  4. I liked Stephanie’s Hard to Hold Trilogy. I’ve not read any of the Sydney Croft books, but they’re on my TBR list.

  5. My favorite Sydney Croft book was Riding the Storm. I loved Remy and Haley, this was such a fun and sexy paranormal romance.

  6. My favorite is probably Pleasure Unbound since I have the strongest memories about it. I can actually remember waiting to read it, having read lots of good reviews. I don’t even remember the first Stephanie Tyler book I read (probably one of the Hard to Hold trio), but I enjoyed all the ones I’ve read.

I have Riding and Unleashing the Storm on my TBR pile right now. It’ll be interesting to see them writing as a duo.

  7. I enjoyed the whole Demonica series. Passion Unleashed was I think my fav of the bunch. Thanks for the giveaway!

  8. Eternity Embraced is a great story. Short and sweet but it really pulls you in. You feel the desperation of the hero and heroine. It was the first Demonica book I read and I was hooked. Had to go back and start from the beginning.

  9. I Have not read eny of them yet but would like to get stared . May have some in my to be read pile have to look but know I have not read eny yet! the To be Read pile is a little out of hand rignt now need to look it over.

  10. Hi

The only book that I have read is Eternal Rider by Larissa Ione, but I’ve written down the other authors for later possible book purchases.

  11. I have never read books by any of the authors (I know Sydeny Croft is a combo). They are all on my reading list. I keep saying “no new authors” but these authors have been on my list for a while so maybe this contest is a chance to kick me in the pants to get me started!
    Thanks for the giveaway.

  12. I have never read a book from either of these authors! Eep! I need to get on that!
