Thank you SO much Nikki for letting me stop by and talk about Honey Creek today! This is my first blog tour and I’m giddy to be here! Honey Creek is such a part of me and writing for the line is an honor. So, I thought I’d talk about why Honey Creek’s made for romance.
Welcome to Honey Creek!
Honey Creek is a fictitious small town in rural Ohio. The new imprint from Turquoise Morning Press kicks off with my novella BLOOM, but will continue on in branches varying genres and authors to bring the entire town to life. In Honey Creek there’s something for everyone from YA lovers to mysteries addicts. For me, it’s all about the romance.
Life in Honey Creek is a bit slower. People still wave and say hello. Neighbors even welcome new families with something from their garden or an invitation to church on Sunday morning. Writing romances in Honey Creek makes me smile. There’s something endearing about the Midwest. I like that chivalry isn’t dead. I enjoy a handsome man who tips his hat or opens a door or calls me Ma’am when clearly we are the same age. Respect is rampant here and that sets my heart on a crazy ride where the heroine holds the cards and the hero breaks his neck to get a peek at what she’s keeping close to the vest.
In BLOOM I’ve set up a heroine with a broken heart and an attitude. Then there’s her handsome hero who’s…well a lot like that too. Together they butt heads and sparks fly. I laugh when I read their encounters. So busy ranting and never ever listening. The tension is high and the tempers are too, but these guys have lots to give. I love seeing realization dawn on them time and time again, and watching the layers of granite crumble off their hearts. Now, if one of them would just say it, love might have a chance to bloom. *Sigh*
I hope you’ll visit Honey Creek. It’s a beautiful place just waiting for you to explore. Kick off your shoes, relax into that porch swing and cuddle up to a steamy mug of cider. Taking a trip to Honey Creek is as easy as Amazon : ) See you there!
Bloom by Julie Anne Lindsey
In a town filled with her past, she never expected to find her future….
Seven years ago Cynthia left Honey Creek with a broken heart. Three years ago Mitchell arrived with one. Now Cynthia’s come home, and these two hardened hearts can’t stop arguing. If they’d only take a break long enough to find some common ground, they might be surprised to find love can grow anywhere.
If they let it, love will find a way to Bloom.
I am a mother of three, wife to a sane person and Ring Master at the Lindsey Circus. Most days you’ll find me online, amped up on caffeine & wielding a book.
My sweet romance novella Bloom launched the Turquoise Morning Press’s new Honey Creek line. I’ve contracted three novellas for my Seeds of Love series with TMP and will be planting those seeds throughout 2012. My humorous women’s fiction Death by Chocolate releases April 2012 as the first in my Killer Confections Saga!
