Happy Valentine’s Day GIVEAWAY

.

Happy Valentine’s Day Everyone!

Hubs and I don’t generally celebrate Valentine’s Day here. I never understood the point of spending $60 on roses you could buy on the 13th or 15th for $20. My ass certainly doesn’t need a box of chocolates and what would I do with a stuffed animal? Next week on the 21st hubs and I will have been married 10 years. We’ll do dinner next weekend as a combo V-Day/Anniversary evening.  Hopefully, however hubs has been getting my hints about painting our front room, which I affectionately call “the library” and buying me new shelves for all my books and our movies.

As a giveaway today I’d like to offer the romance/UF book of your choice from thebookdepository.com up to $12! This contest is open to anywhere The Book Depository ships! So international entries are encouraged! I will leave this contest open until the 20th at 11:59pm EST and announce the winner on my anniversary (the 21st).

To enter tell me which book you think you might want and leave me a clear way of finding you if you win!

  1. If I could choose a book it would be the daughter of smoke and bone or the unbecoming of mara dyer. Both are books I have been wanting for awhile.
Happy valentines day. Thanks for the giveaway.

  2. I am so with you on the flowers. It has always been a point to me that if I received flowers they cost so much more and then when the bill comes at the end of the month I have to pay it anyway LOL I love the idea of the combo dinner and new paint for the “library.” so lasting and so much better 🙂 Thank you for the awesome giveaway opportunity. I would love to read River Marked by Patricia Briggs and catch up on what Mercy and Adam are up to 🙂

  3. The best flowers are the ones that come out of the blue, not the expected ones on Valentine’s Day LOL. I would love to get either River Marked by Patricia Briggs or First Grave on the Right by Darynda Jones because I’ve been wanting to start that series.

  4. I’d love to get The Darkest Seduction by Gena Showalter.
    Happy Valentine’s Day!
    Thanks for the giveaway!

  5. I guess I will call and cancel the flowers and chocolates that are on their way. 🙂

If I win, pick me out the first book in one of the series you have read and really liked. I have read NONE of them. I need to start somewhere.

  9. I’m not a flower person so books would be the best choice of valentine gift 🙂

I would choose “Radhika’s Story” by Sharon Hendry because I can’t find this book in bookstores in my town and of course. I want to learn more about human trafficking.

Happy valentine’s day and thank you.

  13. Happy Valentines Day. I agree with you on the flowers and what they charge.

There are so many great books coming out but I would pick Cherry Adairs Lodestone.. I just love that series

  14. I’m with on on the flowers (they die anyway), I don’t need the chocolate (although I love it). I prefer something like gift cards for great romance books, and like your idea of bookshelves & painted room. Much more enjoyable than flowers that will die in a few days or more calories, lol.

Have a happy Valentine’s day & Happy early Anniversary.

  16. Happy Anniversary!

I would choose The Truth About Lord Stoneville by Sabrina Jeffries. Thank you for the wonderful giveaway!

  17. Happy Valentine’s Day. I have so many I could choose from, but I’ll just list a few.

  18. I would pick To Die For or Dearly Departed. One of those because they are HIGH on my to read list. As for Valentines. I SO AGREE! Why on gods green earth would you spend twice to three times as much. I told my hubby to make sure he got flowers before. I don’t want to see anyone spend that kind of money on something that I know already. He loves me. He gives me everything I ask for and more if I want or need it. We hardly fight and when we do it’s done the same day. I couldn’t ask for better then him. Yes, we have faults but I don’t need a dumb holiday to know he loves me.

If I win, I’d love to have a copy of “The Capture of the Earl of Glencrae” by Stephanie Laurens.

    Thanks for the chance!

  23. We don’t really celebrate Valentine’s Day, we just get a card and candy for the kids and make it a fun day for them. Thank you for the giveaway to celebrate. If I win, I would love to receive The Atlas of Love by Laurie Frankel 🙂

  24. We’ve been married forever, lol, and keep it nice and lowkey. Pizza and a movie that we watch snuggled together on the couch.

I hope you have a fab anniversary!

I’m thinking Changing the Game by Jaci Burton… I have no clue about $ though. If that’s too many it would be Dark descendant by Jenna Black. I was sorting through my to buy list earlier and these where at the top 🙂
