Kayla Martinez has recently landed an RN position at a prestigious hospital in her hometown. The new job is everything she’s hoped for, especially when one hot specimen shows up in the ER. She hasn’t seen her childhood crush in years, and considering how much hotter he’s gotten over time, she almost ends up needing resuscitation.
The last thing Nico LaCosta needs is a broken arm. Now his pal’s kid sister wants to soothe his pain, but he’d rather keep his distance so her big brother doesn’t break his other arm. Kayla’s no child anymore, though. She’s one hot-blooded woman, determined to remind him of a mind-blowing kiss back when they were teenagers. Leave it to Kayla to drop by his house unannounced and play Nurse Seductive. A guy has to follow the buddy code, or face the consequences. Still, sometimes giving in to temptation is worth it…
*Le sigh* Latin men do it for me. They do it for me big time. Diane Escalera has given me what I want in Nico LaCosta and his sexy Latin self. Did I say I highly enjoy Latin men?
Kayla has had the hots for Nico ever since they were kids. Being the little sister of a good friend meant she was automatically off limits to him. Thing have changed now that they are both adults. He’s hurting from an injury and nurse Kayla is more then willing to ease his discomfort.
Escalera gives yet another superb story in a novellas short amount of time with The Right Temptation. I just enjoy her writing style immensely It draws you in and consumes you quickly and way to soon the story is done. It’s fluid and Escalera makes you care about these characters and feel the emotions that they do.
Nico and Kayla scorch the pages…err screen (Kindle) and are combustibly hot together. I enjoyed how they already had a past at the beginning so there wasn’t such a huge relationship to build for the readers to understand their attraction to each other. The sex is well wrote and is vivid enough for my jaded imagination…though not terribly original. However, in a sea of romances these days nothing is hitting me as original, I did find it enjoyable though. More then that though is the story that is woven with these two that kept me interested. Nico’s hesitation to get involved with Kayla long term was executed wonderfully and felt completely real. Silly slow men. 🙂
I always look forward to an Escalera release….I can fully recommend this for the contemporary romance lover. I hope in the future she gives me some standard length romances!
I give The Right Temptation by Diane Escalera 4 stars!
