Blogiversary Giveaway #2 – Julie A Lindsey

Second up today is the fantabulous Julie A Lindsey who is the sole reason I’m here blogging about books to all you lovely people out there. She encouraged me to start talking books and well….3 years later… I am! Had she not married my cousin we might never have met…and that, that would be a travesty. She’s bubbly and more then a little hopped up on caffeine …but she’s amazing…and you need to read her books. Just sayin.

Julie is giving away a digital copy of her book Written On Her Heart to a random commenter here. This one is open internationally. Simply answer the following question:

Do you enjoy small town romances over big city romances? Why or why not?

Pam’s Review

Emma’s falling in love with a man she’s never met, or has she?

Emma has her reasons not to fall in love, but fate has other plans. When she finds a journal near Honey Creek lake, she sneaks a peek at the words of a stranger, but finds the heart of a hero instead. Soon she’s savoring every word, opening her heart to the man inside and her mind to possibilities she gave up long ago.

Across town, Nicholas is devastated at the loss of his grandfather’s journal, one he’s written in since he left for Iraq a decade ago. The thought of a stranger mocking his words, or worse, someone from Honey Creek knowing his most intimate trials…. If his journal falls into the wrong hands, humiliation is sure to follow.

But what if it fell into the right ones?

  1. Written on Her Heart sounds like a very moving book. I can’t wait to read how these two finally meet. Thanks for sharing your story as well. I have a wonderful sil too. I was the only girl so it’s great to finally have a sister.

  2. Small town romances mean that the main characters are thrown together whether they want to or not – it seems. Love that.

  3. I have read this book and loved it. This blog is the reason I heard about, liked it, and met Julie at RAGT this year.

  4. Hi Julie!
I’m a sucker for romances featuring men and women in uniform, especially veterans. “Written on her Heart,” sounds like my kind of story and I would love to win it!

Congratulations to the ladies of RFACM on their Blogiversary!

  5. Enjoy reading small town romances more, because they can’t get away from one another, everywhere they go, the other one is there.

  6. I love a good small town romance! They usually offer a glimpse into an awesome array of secondary characters with lots of personality. Also, I live in a small town and I can relate to all the shenanigans that come with small town living.

  7. I love discovering a new author!
I like to switch it up. Sometimes I crave a small town romance and other times I want a billionaire/millionaire story. All in all, I just like a compelling story, great characters and HEA which looks like WRITTEN ON HER HEART (from the blurb).

    Thanks for the giveaway!!

  8. I love both type of romances– The big city stories because I live in a medium sized town and I enjoy hearing about the places people go in the city:) BUT, I love small town romances for the quirky people and the closeness of the people who are friends and family. Julie is new to me too, and I can’t wait to read her stories!

  9. I love small town romance. I think big city romance is to fast paced and often cold or always leaves you with the feeling something cruel will happen. Small town romance is more intimate and sometimes more twisty than you expect! Regardless love Julie’s books!

  10. I like small town romances because everyone knows everyone, they all help each other out, and there’s usually a lot of clashing personalities.

  11. Julie is a new author to me. I love small town romance. The extra characters from the town can sometimes make the story.

  12. I wouldn’t say I prefer them, but I do like small town romances because they resonate more with me because I’m from a small town. 🙂

  13. First this book sounds amazing! I sounds like one that would stick with me until well after the last page has been read!

I like both kinds of stories but usually the small town stories are more fun with family and nosy neighbors, etc. getting in the way. As long as both are written well and fit the story (not forced) I like them.
