“Go to college,” they said. “Get a good job,” they said. “It will be a piece of cake.” Well, whoever they are, they lied. Sure, college was a blast, but after college, not so much. The finding a job to go with my expensive education, that part was not so easy. At least not until I was offered a position at the new club in town.

Life is defined by the little moments that have the power to change it completely. I never thought getting a cup of coffee would change mine, but it did. She did. She’s one of those moments.

He’s my boss.

She’s my employee.

I want him.

I can’t resist her.

Kaylee Ryan is a new author to me and I have got to say I’m so very sorry that I haven’t read her books prior to this!! I Just Want You is a wonderful story!

Berklee and Crew. Crew and Berklee. Anyway you say it, it is just right! These two are an amazing couple. Berklee recently graduated from college and just cannot catch a break. She is looking for a job with her degree in Business administration but most places want experience. How can you have experience when no one will hire you? So instead, Berklee works at a local coffee shop until she can get her dream job.

Crew was living paycheck to paycheck working construction until he came into some money. Ten million dollars’ worth. But now things are going to change with the opening of his new club, Club Titan. With his best friend, Zane on board things are finally looking up.

Crew would stop in to see the beautiful woman with the long red hair working at the coffee shop almost daily but never pursued anything more. Until one day he goes in to find she has accepted another job and that in two weeks he will never see her again. To say Crew was disappointed is one thing…until his 4:00 meeting with his new business manager for Club Titan walks through the door…and his destiny is changed forever.

I must say, Crew is one of the most amazing men I have ever read. Alpha male who is completely and utterly devoted to his woman and wants to shout it from the rooftops? Yes, please! Berklee was an amazing woman, I like that she knew what she wanted. It was funny how they knew each other’s friends but their paths had never crossed. Friends knew cousins knew brothers who knew parents, etc. At some point, their paths should have crossed but fate had made the decision for them. The ONLY thing I did not like was how this relationship needed to be a secret from everyone. Hell, with a man like that you need to be telling everyone about him lady!!

I enjoyed all the talk of family and all the outings with friends. Some authors go over the top and drag unnecessary characters into the story, but this all fit just right. There were definitely some moments that made me hold my breath and question how it would all work out in the end. It did and I’m glad I took the opportunity to read a new to me author. I read this entire book in one afternoon and loved it. Congrats Kaylee Ryan, you have a new fan.

I give I Just Want You by Kaylee Ryan 4 stars!

When I met Donovan Kincaid, I knew he was rich. I didn’t know he was filthy. Truth be told, I was only trying to get his best friend to notice me.

I knew poor scholarship girls like me didn’t stand a chance against guys like Weston King and Donovan Kincaid, but I was in love with his world, their world, of parties and sex and power. I knew what I wanted—I knew who I wanted—until one night, their world tried to bite me back and Donovan saved me. He saved me, and then Weston finally noticed me, and I finally learned what it was to be in their world.

And then what it was like to lose it.

Ten years later, I’ve found my way back. Back to their world. Back to him.

This time, I’m ready. I’ve been down this road before, and I know all the dirty, filthy ways Donovan will try and wreck me.

But it’s hard to resist. Especially when I know how much I’ll like it.

I don’t even know how to start this review. I love Laurelin Paige. After I got on the 50 shades train a few years back, the Fixed Trilogy by Laurelin was the next series suggested to me. I’m not even sure who it was that told me to read it, but whomever it was, I thank you from the bottom of my heart. I LOVE Hudson. He truly is my number one book boyfriend. With that being said…Ms. Laurelin Paige just blew Hudson out of the water with Donovan Kincaid and Weston King. Forever.

I love how Laurelin writes her heroine a little messed up because, hell, aren’t we all? No one is perfect and Sabrina Lind is far from it. In Dirty Filthy Rich Boys, the prequel to Dirty Filthy Rich Men, you find out the story behind Sabrina, Weston and Donovan. It’s not a necessity to read it but i would highly suggest it.

Sabrina was a student at Harvard when she noticed Weston King. Ice blue eyes, dark blond hair, gorgeous in every way and he never noticed her. She would sneak into parties at The Keep just to keep her eyes on her crush. But yet, when an unfortunate incident happens after a party at The Keep and Donovan Kincaid ends up being the last person in the world Sabrina thought would save her, Sabrina ends up totally confused on what/who she wants. The man who she has had her eye on since day one or the one who sets her blood on fire like no one else? One day, Sabrina’s luck changes. Weston finally notices her…and Donovan notices it all. Sabrina is finally going to get what she has hoped for all freshman year, a date with Weston. However, an unexpected issue arises and Sabrina’s life changes forever.

Ten years later, Sabrina is in New York for a convention and runs into Weston King who remembers her. After drinks with Weston, a night together turns into a job offer which turns into something so crazy your head will explode.

Now, if you’ve read Laurelin before, her men are gorgeous, ALPHA males who are most definitely assholes. They do what they want, when they want and do not apologize for a damn thing. Well, Donovan Kincaid is probably the biggest asshole you are EVER going to read about. And he’s HOT as hell. Like get a fan and a couple extra pairs of panties hot. You know EXACTLY the kind of guy I’m talking about, the one you LOVE to hate.

“They were both standing in front of me now, staring at me. Weston to my right, Donovan to my left, like a real game of This or That, and of course the choice was This. It was the only choice. practically. For my sanity. The other one wasn’t even an actual option.”

This story was so totally unexpected. I read Dirty Filthy Rich Boys and had my own ideas of where this would lead. I was so very wrong. I was met with so many lies, twists and turns, unexpected events that my head was absolutely spinning when I was done reading this book. I had no idea what I was in for but my god, it is the most amazing story I have read this year. Does Sabrina go with the safe bet of Weston? Does Sabrina finally figure out why she just can’t stay away from Donovan?

This book was downright DIRTY. The mind games and secrets were DIRTY. The sex was DIRTY….VERY DIRTY. And I loved every single minute of it.

The ONLY downside…major cliffhanger…but such a good one…AND the next book, Dirty Filthy Rich Love, does not come out until September!! SEPTEMBER?!?! Are you trying to kill us Laurelin?

I give Dirty Filthy Rich Men by Laurelin Paige 5++ stars!

My savior isn’t prince charming.

I’m not that lucky.

He’s my worst nightmare.

He’s my one-night stand from two years ago.

And he doesn’t remember me.

What happens on vacation doesn’t always stay on vacation. Especially in a place like Aspen. I moved to the mountains for my dream job. I never expected to run into the man of my dreams. Again.

I never thought I’d see her again.

My Cinderella didn’t leave me a shoe to find her.

Not that I’d need random footwear to recognize her.

Her kiss is something I’ll never forget.

Work hard. Play hard. I’m paid to be a nice guy on the slopes, but what I do in my off time isn’t always about making good choices. That’s the fun of living in a ski town. I stay while the women come and go.

I was a little unsure when I asked for an ARC of Crazy Over You by Daisy Prescott. I had never read any of her books but I decided this weekend was all about the authors I have never read before. I absolutely struck gold! I really loved the cover and blurb, so why not give it a shot? I was 100% loving this story!

Crazy Over You is a feel-good story that made me happy. Mara and Jesse hit it off two years ago, in a drunken night of fun. Mara was in a drunken stupor and Jesse found himself having the time of his life with her, despite the issues he was going through at the time. After the night ended, Jesse left without more than a simple note to Mara and was never seen again. Did they have sex? Was it so bad that she just didn’t remember? Mara chalked her lack of memories to a lack of a memorable night with Jesse.

Two years later, in Aspen, Mara is now the new veterinarian in town and has had an anxiety attack on a ski slope. Can you guess who’s going to come to her rescue? Jesse is a sexy bearded man who works for the ski patrol and is absolutely just as stunning as he was two years ago. Problem is, Mara doesn’t know if she should be happy he has no idea who she is or should she be mad she was so forgettable? Little does Mara know that Jesse knows exactly who she is and has a plan to make her remember him also.

“My savior isn’t prince charming. No, I’m not that lucky. He’s my worst nightmare. He’s my one night stand from two years ago. And he doesn’t remember me.”

Mara and Jesse are such an easy hero/heroine to love. They fit together seamlessly and an were so very enjoyable to read. I loved all of the secondary characters as well, and will be going back to read the first book in this series. There was no overly intense drama which made this book absolutely perfect for my weekend binge reading session! I am in total awe of these two characters and this will definitely be a re-read for me, many times over!

“Life’s never long enough if you love someone.”

Crazy Over You is my first book by Author Daisy Prescott and I am absolutely in love! This story had all the feels with very little drama and some laughs thrown in for good measure. This book has such a good balance of everything I was looking for, it was a good way to start my weekend! Ms. Prescott, you have a new fan!

I give Crazy Over You by Daisy Prescott 5 stars!

The Unyielding by Shelly Laurenston (Call of Crows #3)

Stieg Engstrom, Angriest Viking Ever, has got big problems. The human Viking Clans of earth are in danger of being obliterated—along with the rest of the world—and the only one who may be able to save them is a super pain-in-the-ass Crow. Most people annoy Stieg, but this is the one woman he really can’t stand…

Erin Amsel loves being a Crow! Why wouldn’t she when the other Viking Clans are so hilariously arrogant and humorless? She’s not about to let all that come to an end! She just didn’t expect to be shoulder to shoulder in battle with Stieg. Then again, he’s so easy to torment—and also kind of cute.

With the future of the world riding on them, Stieg knows he’ll have to put aside his desperate need to kiss the smirk right off Erin’s face. Wait. What? He didn’t mean that—did he? No! They have one goal: To conquer the idiots. Because nothing bugs Stieg more than when idiots win. If only he can keep himself from suddenly acting like one….

Shelly Laurenston is probably one of my all-time favorite authors. I was unsure on this series at first because of it’s unique storyline. Its mythology mixed with paranormal romance is unlike anything I’ve ever read. Combined with Shelly’s typically long character list, it can be a bit of a daunting task when you pick up her book. It’s definitely never a book you can gloss over. You may even want to take some notes (I’m only kind of joking here).

Book one and two of the Call of Crows series introduced us to a group of women who have risen from the ashes. All hand picked because of how they died. Now sisters with an unbreakable bond, they fight together along with other clans in the Greek mythology realm. Well, sometimes they fight each other too.  Ok, they fight each other a lot. And it’s hilarious as all Laurenston books tend to be. Focusing on dialogue and action sequences, The Unyielding allows readers to immerse themselves fully in the world.

Erin Amsel is a bitch through and through. She lives to get her kicks from pissing people off. She has no fear and she says what other people don’t want to.  Yet she’s also willing to do whatever it takes to win the coming war with her sisters and the other clans. The only person she doesn’t seem to affect is Steig, the viking with the hair trigger switch.

Steig tries not to let the things around him get to him. The key word being “tries”. Except the redheaded crow Erin. She pushes his buttons just being in the same room. Now that everyone knows she’s the key to stop the upcoming war, he’s found himself agreeing to follow her for her own good. She can’t die before she completes her mission and the way she runs her mouth she’ll probably get shot in the head before she can even try. Maybe more than once. Maybe by him.

I loved the budding connection between Erin and Steig from the start. They had a school yard type crush where you just knew they were going to end up together even though they seemingly hated each other. Their constant bickering was fun reading. Steig’s unlikely pet goat made for some interesting dialogue and scenes too. I mean…a pet GOAT. Only in a Laurenston book. The interaction between the multiple clans can be a lot to remember, but each ones plays their own role so it’s important to fully grasp the world building that Laurenston is so good at.

The Unyielding grabs you from the beginning but I do not recommend reading these out of order or as stand alones.  There is just way too much information in each book that to pick this up without reading the prior two would leave you lost quickly. The characters are hilarious, the situations they find themselves in unparalleled, and the sex scenes unrivaled.  Laurenston has once again delivered a book high on content and which is supremely good. This is a definite must read series!

I give The Unyielding by Shelly Laurenston 5 stars!

Cinderella like you’ve never seen before…

With the threat of the vampire monarchy becoming stronger every day, the Black Lily must take drastic measures. As the leader of the underground resistance, Arabelle concocts the perfect idea to gain the attention of the Glass Tower. Her plan? Attend the vampire prince’s blood ball and kill him. Fortunately for Prince Marius, her assassination goes awry, and Arabelle flees, leaving behind only her dagger.

Marius is desperate to find the woman whose kiss turned into attempted murder, hunting for the mysterious assassin he can’t push out of his mind. But what he uncovers could change the course of his life forever…

The Black Lily was a surprising find that perfectly mixed paranormal romance with historical romance and added a fairy tale touch. I’ve come to expect greatness from Juliette Cross and after finishing this in record time, I can definitely fully recommend it.

When reading traditional fairy tales I often found myself filled with longing for a heroine who could also kick ass. Even as a child I lamented the lack of female role models. Often princesses were simpering fools who needed a man to fall into insta-love with and live happily ever after. I wanted the fairy tale princess who could also hold her own against any foe who might head her way. I never really got any.  Now as an adult, I have finally got what I wanted. A fairy tale story filled with action and behind it all….a female I can root for.

Arabelle just wants justice for her family and in order to get that she has her sites set on killing the local vampire prince Marius. There is no way she can believe he has no knowledge of the increasing number of bodies that have been turning up on the outskirts of their village, savaged and drained of blood. Setting off to seduce and kill the man/monster at his own ball seems a fitting ending. She never expected him to deny the killings so vehemently or her to find him so attractive….

Marius is shocked when the elusive female nearly kills him at his own masked ball. He’s even more shocked of her claims of rogue vampires picking off innocent villagers right under his nose. Determined to find the attempted murderer and get to the bottom of her claims, he sets off to find her and bring her in to learn more. He quickly learns that not only has the anonymous woman claimed his heart, but things in the local village and his palace are not what they seem and the answers may lie with those close to him.

What I loved most about The Black Lily was the combination of historical, paranormal and fairy tale aspects and the way the Cross did it in such a seamless way.  Never a dull moment, the mystery surrounding the murdered villagers and the romance between Marius and Arabelle progressed at a natural rate. Arabelle was a born leader of their vampire resistance with her combat skills and her complete disregard of social conformity.  Marius was, of course, swoon worthy, heroic and a born leader of his people in his own way. I really liked how he didn’t shrug off her claims knowing that while stronger, he needed the villagers for a variety of reasons. He didn’t think his social standing was a reason to trample on those beneath him, just as a true leader should feel.

The Black Lily is a wonderful start for Juliette Cross’ new series! It laid the groundwork effectively and introduced several potential characters for upcoming additions. It will be interesting to see how the series progresses in respect to the vampire resistance now that the leader has bound herself to the one thing she swore she never would. Where does that leave the rest of her followers? How will they feel moving forward and will there be those who refuse to acknowledge the news and change in direction?

If you love fairy tales with a twist, this is a definite must read! I can’t wait for more!

I give The Black Lily by Juliette Cross 4 stars!

The Brothers Chance

*****Review From Liz*****

Ransom by Logan and Jacob Chance, a brother writing duo, is their entry into the MC genre. And it was sexy, dirty, suspenseful and naughty, just what you have come to love and expect from both of these writers.

We meet the Fox brothers, five brothers who have been a part of the MC for the last twelve years after a tragic loss. Mick, the president, took them in and was there for them. This is where they belong. Ransom focusses specifically on Liam and Rory Fox. Liam is the Vice President of the club and Rory is the Sergeant at Arms. Both are very alpha, tough and take no prisoner type of men. They are gorgeous men and they know it.

The writing duo jumped right in and delved right into the life of an MC. The violence, the sex, and the drinking, with no apology. It was not pretty. Things have not been right for some time. A rival MC is getting into their business and know things they should not even be aware off. Who can they trust?

And the women are just as tough and beautiful. You have your club whores, but both Liam and Rory have something, or rather someone different in mind. But for both of them, their choices can get them killed. Rory has always loved Fallon, but she is forbidden. As the President’s daughter, she is too good for any of them. Liam on the other hand has always loved and wanted his high school sweetheart, but somehow they find themselves on different sides. Can Rory and Liam find a way to save the MC and get the woman they want?

This was a quick read with a lot of action, suspense and steamy scenes. The story was told in alternating point of views by Liam and Rory. Even with everything going on, I was intrigued and could not wait to see what would happen next. I am looking forward to reading more about the Fox brothers and the Aces & Eight MC.

I give Ransom by Logan and Jacob Chance 4-stars!

Fighting Attraction by Sarah Castille (Redemption #4)

My sweet, sexy Penny has a dark side. Just like me. I will have her. And then I will lose her, and suffer a lifetime of regret. Rampage. Everyone loves him. He is Redemption’s top heavyweight fighter and the biggest gossip in the gym. But he isn’t the teddy bear everyone thinks he is. He’s hiding a dark secret-and he hates himself for it. Twice a week, Rampage transforms into Master Jack, a notorious dom only the most hard-core submissives will play with. How can he-a Southern gentleman, bred to respect and protect women-want to dominate them? But Penny Worthington wants him. Beneath her pearls, kitten heels, and prim British exterior beats a tortured heart…Master Jack is the only one who can set her free.

I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again – Sarah Castille is a master of her craft. She could write the phone book and I would read it. I’ve been a fan of the Redemption series since the beginning and I was gleefully anticipating reading Rampage’s book. Even the hard core BDSM theme of the book (sadism and masochism) wasn’t enough to put me off because I knew Ms. Castille would write a story worthy of a Redemption fighter.

She did not disappoint. Rampage was HOT! Normally the easygoing “nice guy” whom everyone loves, he hides a dark side. Rampage is a sadist. He enjoys giving pain. He gets off on it. He needs the release it gives him, so he allows himself to give in to those desires at Club Sin, where he is known as Master Jack. Having just moved up to the pro level of MMA fighting, Rampage knows that this is one secret he can’t reveal. His dominance and sadism have already cost him his fiancée, the career he should have had, and his family. He won’t let it destroy the newfound success he has found as Rampage.

Unfortunately that becomes a possibility when Penny Worthington stumbles upon him at Club Sin. There to serve papers to the club’s owner on behalf of her lawyer boss, Penny is shocked to her core when she observes Master Jack doing a scene with one of the club submissives. Gone is the caring, fun-loving gossip that she knows from working out at Redemption. In his place is a strong, powerful, cold as ice sadist in complete control of everything. And Penny immediately wants in.

Not only has Penny hid her longtime attraction to Rampage (knowing someone like him would never look twice at an awkward, chunky British law clerk), but she has her own secret. Penny is a masochist. She wants someone to control her pleasure, she longs for the release a little bit of pain can give her. She’s never met anyone who made her understand her needs. Until Jack. Suddenly she’s not worthless or broken or a freak. She’s a woman with kinky desires who needs what a man like Master Jack can give her.

Never in a million years did I think I would enjoy a romance about sadism. I’ve read other books with BDSM elements, but the hardcore stuff usually turns me off. While there is nothing in me that understands the attraction or need to give or receive pain, I completely believed it with Jack and Penny.

Sarah Castille wrote those elements of the story so well, and in a way that even the most vanilla lover could appreciate. Jack and Penny made me laugh, they made me cringe, and they turned me on. I loved all of the scenes with the other couples and how the friendships between the Redemption guys and their girls play a huge part in this series.

I have to say it: this book is a story of redemption for Jack and Penny. They both learn from each other, and use their budding relationship to overcome some nasty business in their pasts. If you haven’t read anything by Sarah Castille, you are missing out. If she can make me fall in love with a guy who likes to hurt his woman, she can do anything. Once again, she delivered a book that I couldn’t put down.

I give Fighting Attraction by Sarah Castille 5 stars!

He Will Always Bear the Scars

Undercover cop Clay Navarro left the Sultans biker gang a changed man. Its ringleaders may be awaiting trial, but he wears the memory of every brutal act he was forced to commit tattooed across his skin. He doesn’t have space in his messed-up life for anything gentle–not now, maybe not ever. Dr. Georgette Hadley is drawn to the damaged stranger’s pain, intimidated but intrigued by the warmth that lies beneath Clay’s frightening exterior. But when the Sultans return looking for revenge, she finds herself drawn into the dirty underbelly of a life forged in violence…that not even her touch may be able to heal.

By Her Touch is the second book I’ve read by Adriana Anders. It’s also the second book I’ve LOVED by Adriana Anders. If you are looking for an author who creates incredibly real, flawed and vulnerable characters who deserve a happy ending, look no further. Clay and George were so perfect for each other, despite everything they had going against them. Just when you think they were on the right path, the story would twist another way and suck you in again.

We first met Dr. Georgette Hadley in Under Her Skin when the heroine of that book needed some tattoos removed. That is the same reason that brings Clay Navarro to George’s little town. As a federal agent working undercover with the Sultans motorcycle club, Clay was forced into situations and actions that scarred him inside and out. Now that he is out – and hiding out until he can testify at trial – Clay is looking for a way to erase the damage done to his appearance. He’s hoping that Dr. Hadley can remove the tattoos that brand him as something he’s no longer pretending to be.

When she sees Clay, George is wary but intrigued. Everything female in her reaches out to the big, tough, scarred, tattooed man who obviously needs help. His skin bears the evidence of the violent life he’s led, and his eyes reveal the tortured past of a man who has seen too much. A widow for the past ten years, George is unprepared for the fierce attraction she feels for the stranger. The pull between them is too strong to resist, though, and soon even their doctor-patient relationship isn’t enough to keep her from reaching out to him.

Clay knows getting involved with the beautiful doctor is a mistake. A happily ever after ending is not in the cards for someone like him, and letting her get close to him will only open her life up to the danger that surrounds his. She refuses to ignore their mutual need, though, and the man deep inside who still believes in the good of the world runs to her like a moth to a flame.

This book was dark and harsh and gritty with its violence and the sexual attraction between Clay and George was very intense. If you’re looking for a sweet, light-hearted romance, this is not the book for you. By Her Touch is a sad, touching love story that will make you feel like your heart is being shredded before you’re done. I loved how George remained true to herself, even when it meant going against her principles as a physician, and when it meant giving up on a dream that wasn’t hers anymore. Clay adored her and it was very obvious how much she meant to him, even though he wasn’t a man who knew how to handle loving someone.

I give By Her Touch by Adriana Anders 5 stars!

Between the Secrets, an all-new MM romance by S. Ferguson is available now!!

Pageflex Persona [document: PRS0000039_00007]

Sometimes the past won’t let you escape no matter how much your future wants you to.

Jake James lives in the shadows of his shame. The guilt for what he’s done, for what was done to him, has left him hollow and haunted.

Greg Bissen just wants Jake to let him in, having accepted who he is a long time ago, he is desperate to break through Jake’s defenses.

When danger and an agonizing loss threatens to tear them apart, will Jake let the burdens of his past crush him?

Or can love really conquer all, even if it’s hiding in between the secrets?

***Review From Liz***

Between the Secrets by S. Ferguson deals with some very emotional subject matter. I was gutted. This is a M/M friends-to-lovers romance. Sometimes you find just that what you always needed was right in front of you.

Jake’s background was so hard and staggering. I felt so much for him. His past had so much hurt and pain that he never really dealt with and that haunted him. He threw himself into alcohol and random hookups with women to forget. But because of the guilt he carries with him, he was never free to live his life as he wanted.

Greg is Jake’s best friend and roommate and has always been there for him. They are very close, but Greg also wants more from Jake. But he hides his feelings from Jake because he knows he is dealing with so much. It hurts Greg to see Jake hook up with random women, but above it all, his love for Jake stood strong.

Then one night everything changes. Can they find a way to be together in a world that is already hard to live in? A world that is full of violence, alpha and very macho men, can they be open with their love and still be respected? And then there is the mystery that surrounds them. Is anyone safe?

I loved Greg. He was a mob enforcer with a tough exterior, but when it came to Jake, he was patient and caring. I loved seeing these two discover and share their feelings and insecurities with each other and coming to terms who who they were.

Greg and Jake’s journey was heartbreaking and hopeful. They have been through so much. This story had romance and suspense and keeps you captivated to the very end. S. Ferguson’s writing was remarkable and kept me at the edge of my seat.

I give Between the Secrets by S. Ferguson 4-stars!

I hear a clatter, pulling me out of my own head, as Jake tries to yank the dusty cloth off the stove. That’s enough of that shit. I don’t know if the stove is still connected to the gas and I don’t feel like dying in a giant fireball tonight.

Marching up to Jake, I grab his shoulders and try to steer him toward the back door, but he isn’t having it. Spinning around, he puts us chest to chest. I swallow the sudden lump in my throat. Does he know? Of course he doesn’t.

The tension between us has been rising to a boiling point. Our chemistry is so much deeper than just friendship. Jake’s walls come down when he drinks, but I have never dared to hope for a moment like this.

“There isn’t any food,”Jake pouts, his baby face making him look like an adorable child—a child I want to smack and kiss, in no particular order. I’m tired too and ready to go home. But I know Jake won’t drop his hunt for food. We’ve been down this road before.

I sigh in defeat. “I’ll take you to Waffle House,”I whisper. I’ll push aside my tiredness for Jake. I would do almost anything for him. This moment feels intimate, being in the dark alone with him in my arms. It’s pretty much every dream I’ve ever had come true.

“Greg…”Jake’s voice trails off. I can just barely see in the dim light, but it looks like his eyes are focused on my lips.

“Fuck, don’t look at me like that.”It’s only a half-hearted protest. More of me wants this than not. And that’s the problem.

Jake doesn’t speak. He just leans forward and then, after a brief hesitation, pushes his lips to mine.

My entire body stiffens, afraid to move. God I hope this isn’t some drunken mistake on his part. My hands lock into their position resting on his shoulders. I’m so nervous I’ll spook him. I know his history, probably better than most. I don’t know if he realizes what he’s doing. I know I’m a bastard for not pushing him away, and despite all these thoughts, about ninety percent of the blood in my body is rushing south.

Jake ignores the fact that I’ve frozen on my feet. Slanting his head, his tongue teases my bottom lip, asking me to open up.

And I do. Oh my God, I do.

He wraps his arms around the back of my neck, pulling us even closer. I can feel I’m not the only one aroused by this, his erection pushing against mine through our dress pants. He moans when he feels my hard-on pushing back, and that’s all I need to thaw. I move my left hand up to the back of his head and take control of the kiss. I don’t even think about it; I lower my right hand to rub him through his pants. Despite the material between us, I can feel how hard he is. I feel the heat coming off of him. He moans long and low into my mouth, thrusting himself into my hand.

I curse as I manage to undo his button and fly with one hand, mentally high-fiving myself for the coordination, and reach past the layers of fabric to grip him. He’s just as big as I thought he would be. Smooth skin over something hard enough to hammer nails. I run my hand from his base to tip. I had already known from plenty of times in the men’s room together that he was uncut, but feeling it like this makes me want to do so many dangerous things to him. I wonder how he would feel about me nibbling on…

A sudden crash scares the shit out of us. I rip my mouth from Jake’s and we both turn our heads to our left at the same time.

Ron is standing in the doorway. Despite the shitty lighting, I can see his heaving chest. His eyes are wide and he’s holding his gun.

This is not good. This is so not fucking good.

The Wild Child. That’s me. A loud and crazy former Park Avenue princess who just fell from grace. I went from traveling the world to making copies and fetching coffee for Satan.

Okay, so my boss isn’t really Satan. But he might as well be.

Brody Connors is infuriating, incorrigible, unsympathetic, stern, and…gorgeous. Yes, he’s a handsome devil. A large man of few words with the body of an action hero, a face sent from the heavens and the mannerisms of Lucifer.

But sexy as hell or not, he’s still my evil boss. And I need to keep this job. So that’s all he can be, right?

An office romantic comedy perfect for those who love zany heroines and the sexy bosses they exasperate.

I had the pleasure of reading Catch Me, the first book in the Heiress Series and jumped at the chance to read Tame Me! I do like the occasional enemies to lovers stories but this blows them all out of the water! This office romance was comical especially with a little romance and a hell of a lot of sexiness thrown in!

Charlotte Kensington is a hilariously smart and wealthy New York girl who is used to coming and going as she pleases, spending money and traveling the world like it is her job. Until she gets cut off by her family and has to do what normal people do…earn money and fend for herself.

Brody Connors or “Satan” as he is so lovingly referred to (and I LOVE that title) is the owner of a resort and works alongside of his brothers and sister where Charlotte happens to overhear about a job opening of being Satan’s personal assistant. Brody is a tough, sexy alpha male who is delicious at 6’5” and massive enough to be a linebacker.

“Remember how I said nothing could bring me down? That was before I met Brody. AKA my boss. AKA Satan.”

The tension and chemistry between Brody and Charlotte is HOT and flies off the pages! The bantering and arguing they do? OMG, hilarious!! The nicknames the call each other had me rolling on the floor. Brody and Charlotte were so easy to connect with, the story was just entertaining. And the sex you ask? Yeah…it was mind-blowing!

Of course, there was some drama thrown in but nothing life altering. I utterly loved the way Charlotte handled everything. Hell, I want to be her when I grow up!

The supporting characters are amazing and I enjoyed the how they all interconnect with the main characters. The author does an amazing job describing every detail, so much so that it makes you feel as though you are right there at the resort with all of them.

I have thoroughly enjoyed both books I have read by Natalie and look forward to so many more!!

I give Tame Me by Natalie Rios 5 stars!
